What is your favorite thing to do on your days off: I love being at home. You would think teleworking would have deterred my love of being at home but no. I love being with my family, watching movies or documentaries and trying new recipes.
What is your favorite part of your role at SSI: Getting to know people throughout the organization. It’s always refreshing to see how SSI recruits some of the most optimistic and positive people.
What do you see as the next step in your career at Stratagem Solutions, Inc (SSI): I’m honestly not sure. Is there anything left to do that Daniel doesn’t already do? 🙂 I really just enjoy being part of the team and appreciate that Lee and Jason communicate the intention of the company so clearly to the staff and make us feel included.
What is your favorite thing about working at Stratagem Solutions, Inc (SSI): SSI Shares. It’s really unusual for a company to give its employees full reign over picking the organizations to support and giving 100% of the donations to that organization. It feels good participating.
How has your career advanced since you’ve been with SSI: I’ve been given the opportunities to broaden the scope of my work experience by my own choosing. Every time I’ve expressed an interest in learning something new, I’ve been given the opportunity to train and be paired with people to get hands on experience. I feel like it makes me more useful to my customer and also keeps me engaged.
Where is your happy place in Huntsville, AL: Any place facing west at 5:00p.m. in the winter. The sunset on the drive home is magical.
What is your favorite quote: “Today me loves yesterday me.” It’s what I say when I find I have prepared myself for success by calendaring information or reminders and then forgotten about them. Due date arises and I think, oh, today will be crazy. Then I find where I’ve set myself up for success by already prepping the information, calendaring a reminder where I left off and where to find the information to respond quickly. Then I say out loud, “Today me loves yesterday me!” Makes the whole day better.
What is one thing you cannot do without: Family and family I get to choose. Nothing else matters if you don’t find your people to celebrate the good times with or to hold your hand during the bad times. Aside from that, I might fight you for a good cup of coffee or a coke on occasion.
